Carlos Rizzi is an electronic music producer, performer and multi instrumentalist from Bogotá, Colombia. He studied classical composition at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá and Electronic Music Production and Performance at Catalyst Berlin. His work is based on the exploration of soundscapes and sound design in conjunction with IDM inspired beats, moody sequences and extreme sample manipulation.
He has released an album (Now Here Nowhere) and two EP’s (Tank! and Vestigial).
In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, he and fellow collaborator Mateo Walschburger created Sabana Records, an independent record label focused on promoting left field electronica and avant garde electronic music from Colombia and Latin America.
Carlos Rizzi is currently working as a music producer to a wide variety of projects from artists from Colombia as well as some personal projects such as a sound installation in Bogotá’s National Library, various remixes and a couple of EP’s.
