He has received his Doctor's Degree in Computer Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 1999. Since 2004, he has been an associate professor at department of computer science, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Since 2013, he has been an associate professor at department of information sciences, Ochanomizu University, Japan. Since 2016, he has been an associate professor at school of computing, Tokyo Institute of Technology. His fields of interest are image processing, computer graphics, color science and human perception.
