Bing-Yu Chen received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 1995 and 1997, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Information Science from The University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2003. He is currently a Distinguished Professor with Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering and Department of Information Management, and also the Dean of D-School of National Taiwan University. He was an Associate Dean of College of Management during 2013-2019. His current research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Graphics, and Image Processing. He is a senior member of ACM and IEEE.
