Shinsaku Hiura completed his doctoral course of the Graduate School of Engineering Science at Osaka University in 1997, and currently a professor at University of Hyogo after experiencing researcher and faculty staff of Kyoto University, Osaka University and Hiroshima City University. From 2008 to 2009, he joined the Media Laboratory at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a visiting associate professor. His research interests are computer vision, 3D image analysis and computational photography. He holds a D.Eng. degree.
